PFC. David asked: This is no way an attack on John McCain. But I’ve noticed that a lot of the elderly tend to see things one way. Most see Obama as anti-American and a socialist and they see John McCain as a trustworthy man who is full of American pride. Now I don’t question his patriotism but I question his intentions. He’s changed his stances several times since 2000. That’s why so many neoconservatives booed him when he won the GOP nomination.
So I want to know what is your opinion,
Do you disagree or agree and why.
Is it because it fear of change, non-progressive thinking, or just race (I **** to say that because I’m not one of those people who take that as a factor)??
I’m not sterotyping I’m making a general statement. NOT ALL JUST A LOT!

[O]peration [I]raqi [L]iberation asked: They think the world revolves around them. When they were in their 20s they took the labor-advocating left and turned it into a philosophy of drug using radicals who set the stage perfectly for Nixon to come along and demonize the them and build his silent majority.
Then the 70s came along and they got real heavy into the drug use and lost sight of their political advocacy.
Then over the 80s 90s and 00s they worked their hardest to become everything they originally hated, money grubbing war mongering republicans. Then they justified this with stupid quotes like: “if you’re under 30 and aren’t liberal you have no heart, if you’re over 30 and aren’t conservative you have no brain” uhhhhuhuhu
Now they’re getting ready to retire and bankrupt the already crippled social security system, so it’s possible I’ll never see a return on my social security payments I’m making now.
tribeca-belle – ok you’re right, i do appreciate their advocacy of civil rights and equality, but i still feel they set the stage for Nixon, and they still sold out their beliefs as they aged.
and yes i’m generalizing but i’m in a bad mood today, so like, sorry if i offend

themeforkit asked:
There is an instrumental hit that was very popular in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s that seemed to sum up how you guys felt during that era. It had a sense of youth and hope and kind of a steady marching tempo to it, and during the “chorus” (no words), huge bells were rung. Three notes: BING… BING… BONG…. BING… BING… BONG… BING… BING… BONG… BONG… BONG… BONGGGGG… I am dying to find out the name of this darn thing so I can go get the CD. It was hugely popular between 1968-1971. They played it on the radio all the time. Anyone recognize what song I am talking about, any ideas what the song was called? I’ll check out your answers on Amazon to see if there’s a match… please help… I want this song BADLY…
